Broaddus Hospital offers the latest technology, a well-trained staff and a comfortable environment for a full spectrum of imaging services.  Our staff works closely with your physician to provide diagnostic testing which allows for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and diseases.

Our state-of-the-art equipment provides high quality images and is unmatched by any other diagnostic testing center in Barbour County.  A unique Picture Archive Computer System (PACS) streamlines radiologic image sharing and storing between healthcare providers.

Computerized Tomography (CT) scans provide detailed X-ray pictures of the inside of a patient’s body.

• Available 24/7, 365 days/year by appointment and for emergencies.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is used to visualize the structure and function of the body, and provides detailed images of the body in any plane.

• Available Sunday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. by appointment.
• Pre-certification required.
• Siemens Symphony
• Weight Limit: 400 lbs.

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of the structures inside the body.

• Available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. by appointment.
• Most scheduled within 24 hrs. Diagnostic exams as soon as possible.

DEXA Bone Densitometry scans determine bone density according to the radiation absorption rate of the skeletal structure.

• Available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. by appointment only.
• Pre-certification required.

Echocardiography Units use ultrasound waves to create an image of the heart muscle.

• Available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
